§ 2.48.120. Establishment of advisory committee.
A.
An advisory committee is established to provide technical and professional expertise and support for any purpose that will be beneficial in accomplishing the purpose of the Act. Upon the request of the commission, the advisory committee shall make recommendations and reports to the commission.
B.
Membership of the advisory committee will consist of representation of diverse interests, geographical regions, economic backgrounds, cultural and ethnic heritage of county residents with technical expertise or experience specific to children 0 through 5 years of age.
C.
The number of members of the advisory committee will be a maximum of ten (10) persons, two appointments from each supervisorial district.
D.
The individual term of the advisory committee members will be for two years beginning with the date of appointment. There will be no limit to the number of terms an individual can serve on the committee, so long as the member actively participates in committee activities.
E.
The advisory committee will annually elect a chair and vice chair.
