§ 2.72.040. Method of appointment.

No person shall become a member of the forces until he or she is able to meet of the requirements prescribed by law and the sheriff. When so qualified and selected, he or she shall then be sworn in by the sheriff or a commissioned sheriff's representative, as a member of the forces, and may be registered as a disaster service worker upon forms prescribed by the emergency council of the county, and take the oath prescribed therefor.
