§ 8.44.020. Definitions.
As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings:
"Food handler certificate" means a statement issued by the department certifying that a person has satisfactorily demonstrated his or her competency in food safety principles and practices.
"Food handler training materials" means the manual prepared and distributed to food handlers by the department that describes acceptable procedures and safe and healthy practices pertaining to the retail food service industry, or any other format of training as approved by the department.
"Department" means the Riverside County Environmental Health Department, its director or his/her designated representative.
